Qua presents the Ginkgo Symphony
The design process began with hand-drawn watercolour sketches of individual ginkgo leaves, capturing the fine details and vein-like patterns in a delicate way. This allowed the artists to study the natural beauty and complexity of each leaf up close. The sketches were then translated into digital line art, bringing more precision to cleanly define the lobes and stalk of each leaf.

In the Ginkgo Symphony, the finely drawn ginkgo leaves are then carefully applied with gold foil, floating against a backdrop of glossy, luscious muted blue or vibrant red lacquer. The spirit of ginkgo carries through each lacquerware, with an enduring message of resilience and longevity.
